Trust Respect Access is a broad coalition of reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations and leaders who have come together in support of proactive state policies that restore trust in Texans to make their own reproductive health care decisions, respect the dignity of Texans and the judgment of health care professionals, and ensure access to abortion and the support all Texas families need to thrive.

Our steering committee is made up of 13 organizations from across the state with representatives who hold deep expertise in policy, communication, and organizing and who are rooted in a commitment to the following shared values:

  • Trust

  • Antiracism

  • Abortion Forward

  • Reproductive Justice

  • Transparency

This is Trust Respect Access’ third legislative session fighting collectively to shift the policy climate around abortion access in Texas, to educate the public about the harm caused by decades of anti-abortion laws, and to hold lawmakers accountable for political attacks on reproductive health care.

During the interim, you can find our partners building collective power in a variety of related coalition efforts across the state.

The coalition partners include ACLU of Texas, The Afiya Center, Avow, Counter Balance, Deeds Not Words, Jane’s Due Process, Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, Planned Parenthood Texas Votes, Progress Texas, Texas Equal Access Fund, Texas Freedom Network, Whole Woman's Health and Whole Woman's Health Alliance.

Over the past year, Texas lawmakers should've been working to lift medically unnecessary abortion restrictions in order to limit exposure to COVID-19 in clinics. Instead, they kept those restrictions in place, passed additional abortion restrictions in the 87th regular legislative session and are fighting for abortion medication restrictions during costly special sessions. It’s time to stop placing anti-abortion agendas before community health.

Remember that abortion funding is a critical form of mutual aid. Support all of the Texas abortion funds.
